About

Gary and Mary Ann have been carving since 1990. Semi-retired they try to balance their time between family, work, carving, and fishing trips, which Gary calls his “study time” The Klinger’s teach at the ‘Doane Experience’ in Crete, Nebraska and various workshops in the Midwest. They both have won numerous awards at the Mid-America Woodcarvers Association show, with results being shown in Chip Chats Magazines.

Besides a busy fish carving teaching schedule they did get time to fish and relax with the family. Even Eric, their grandson and our Web Designer, took a few days off to join them.

The Mid America Woodcarvers Association, is very important to them also. Gary, the clubs’ past tool man and now Beginner Instructor was awarded The George Floral award for Exemplary Service 2008. This fall Mary Ann was given the privilege of heading the MAWA Fall Show 2009.
